Three Girls Travel Head For The Hills!!!

Right off the bat let me say “IT WAS SO GOOD TO SEE MY TRAVEL SISTERS”.  We have not traveled together for quite a while (due to the pandemic) and decided the time was now!  We wanted to take a low key and relaxing trip and decided to rent a cabin on the White River in Mountain View, Arkansas….and let me tell you it did not disappoint!

We left on a Friday morning and headed to Mountain View.  The drive was beautiful, and we enjoyed catching up on things that had been going on with each of us.

We arrived a little early to check in our cabin, so we headed to the town of Mountain View to get some lunch and visit some of the quaint shops on the town square. Before heading to the cabin, we made a stop at Wal-Mart to pick up any last things needed for our stay (We must have missed some items because we went back the very next day 😊).

The Cabin was fabulous!  The view of the White River and Mountains from the screened in back porch was breathe taking.  There was also a fire pit in the back yard that we used both evenings and let me tell you Cathy built two beautiful Swedish fires!

We got settled in and decided to stay in for the evening.  For dinner Debbie put together a beautiful and yummy Charcuterie board.  After dinner we played a couple of games of Mexican Train and then headed outside to sit by the fire, look at the stary sky, make smores (they were so good!) and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The next morning, I was the first one up.  I put the coffee on (made it extra strong) grabbed a cup of brew and the bag of “Daddy Carter’s famous Oatmeal Raisin cookies” and headed to one of the rocking chairs on the back porch to watch the new day come to life…. soon Debbie joined me, and Cathy was not to far behind her.  I think we stayed out there in our PJs for 2 or 3 hours before we decided to head Blanchard Springs to do a little fishing and see the sites.  We didn’t catch anything, but we sure had a good time!!  We then headed back to JoJo’s Restaurant on the white River for a southern fried catfish lunch.

After lunch we made our second trip to Wal-Mart to pick up crocheting supplies…. Debbie and Cathy were going to try and teach Lee how to Crochet (that didn’t go as planned 😊). We enjoyed what we did Friday night so much we decided to do a repeat on Saturday! Lee put the Charcuterie board together while Debbie and Cathy did their Crocheting.

Sunday morning, we got up drank our coffee on the back porch and ate the rest of the cookies.  Debbie and Lee decided to try their hand at trout fishing one more time before we left…. still in our PJ’s we headed to the river behind our cabin hoping for a nice catch, but we came up empty handed again.  Our check out time was 11:00 so we packed up and headed back to town for a nice lunch before we headed back home.

We had a wonderful and relaxing adventure and can’t wait to do it again soon!

The return of live theater!

We absolutely love live theater and have missed it so much during the Pandemic. However Saturday night we got to experience this again finally after a long year and a half.

Three Girls Travel gathered up our daughters and went to dinner and a show.

Our dinner was at a steak house which has been in operation for decades, The Colonial Steak House. This place never disappoints and was fabulous this night also.

After our relaxing dinner it was off to the Arts Center where we saw 9-5, The Musical. The cast was absolutely fantastic!

We enjoyed our night back “in front of the stage”and look forward to many more experiences like this night in the future.

Three Girls Travel with Three Girls Husbands trip planning party to Cody WY!

Last Saturday afternoon Lee and her husband Marvin hosted a pot luck cookout / pool party / trip planning session for Three Girls Travel with Three Girls Husbands to Beautiful Cody, WY!  We are staying at a Dude Ranch that is owned by Lee and Marvin’s Cousins…It is called “Bill Cody Ranch” and it is a wonderful place to stay.  We have booked a couple of cabins nestled in the Shoshone National Forrest.  This Dude Ranch is located 30 minutes from Cody and also 30 minutes to the East Gate Entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

We enjoyed some really good food and fellowship!! We are all planned up and so excited for this trip! We can’t wait to share our adventures with you!

Three Girls cooling off on this HOT afternoon!
Getting the fire ready to roast some hot dogs!
Take a guess…who goes with who???
The weather looks perfect for our trip!!!

Cody and Jackson Hole Wyoming here we come!

We are cautiously excited making our plans to travel again next month. Of course as things have been this year…anything is subject to change at any time. We did have to completely cancel our trip to St. Augustine and will definitely reschedule that at some time in the future.

This upcoming trip will be different for us because we are taking our husbands along. We are looking forward to disconnecting, relaxing, enjoying nature and pushing the reset button. We have some spectacular things planned and can’t wait to share many pictures and memories with you from this trip.

As we are planning our trip thoughts about how different travel will be and how to stay safe and healthy are definitely in the forefront. It will be interesting to say the least.

Stay tuned as we take to the road again for our next adventure and share our experiences along the way!

Stay safe and healthy!

Ready to travel!!

We have missed traveling so much during this time of quarantine! We should at this time have a blog about our trip to St. Augustine, Florida. But…our trip got postponed because of COVID-19.

We miss each other so much and have kept in close contact through social media during the past couple of months.

Here’s to a great travel season when this is over. We have our St.Augustine trip rescheduled in the summer as well as a trip to Wyoming. Can’t wait to hit the road again soon and share our travels, one adventure at a time!

Stay safe and healthy,

Three Girls Travel.

Broadway musical “Waitress” is as good as “The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie”!!

Three Girls Travel and Three Girls Daughters spent the afternoon together watching the Broadway on tour Play “Waitress” in the beautifully restored Robinson Auditorium. The play was fabulous and is a must see for Musical lovers!!

After the show we headed to Ya Ya’s Euro Bistro for a fabulous dinner! It was a great day with great friends and family🥰🥰

Stay tuned for our next adventure……
