Hey Y’all, We Goin’ To Georgia…

When we explored girl’s trips, Savannah was one of the top places to visit.  SO….. of course we found a VRBO and booked a flight!  Savannah is such a wonderful southern town full of charm and steeped in history.   We chose the Springtime because we wanted to see the Azaleas and Dogwoods in bloom.   Per our usual,  we loaded up and headed to the airport, excited to start our next adventure.

We actually planned the trip perfectly for the Springtime blooms.  Everywhere you turned were beautiful Azaleas.

Our VRBO was fabulous and our hosts Jon and Carmen were very accommodating.   We arrived at the house named “Fabulous Antiques” at 532 Price Street which lived up to its name with many beautiful antiques (some with Arkansas connections.)   We came in the back door to a counter welcoming us with a sign with our names on it,  goodies and flowers.   There were fresh flowers placed throughout the house.

The first morning we walked down the street through the neighborhood and found the cutest little bakery/coffee shop, Mate Factor, so we stopped in to get some pastries before exploring beautiful Savannah.

As we walked to find the Hop On/Hop Off tour bus we saw many Savannah homes which were gorgeous and beautifully remodeled to their original majestic state.  At every turn, every block there were these restored homes in bright colors, gingerbread trim and Victorian and Civil War era houses.

We cannot wait to share more about the places we went and all of the yummy food we ate in future blogs to come soon….
